Purelyz: Ingredient Scanner
Photograph an ingredient label and find out what is actually in it.
Purelyz reads the ingredient label on a product and explains it. You photograph the label, and the app tells you what each ingredient is, what it does, and whether it is worth your attention. It works on food, drinks, shampoo, skincare and cosmetics. A single photo of the ingredient list is enough: the app reads every ingredient on the label and returns a structured report — a product score from 0 to 100, a letter grade, and a short explanation for each ingredient.
Most ingredients on most labels are ordinary. When an ingredient is ordinary, Purelyz says so and moves on. Where a concern exists but the research behind it is thin, it says that too. The app makes no health claims and diagnoses nothing. Every result is written to the device and stays readable without a connection, so a scan from months ago opens on a plane with no signal, complete. Explanations are generated in the reader's own language across thirty languages rather than machine-translated from an English original.
Monetization is credit based: one scan uses one credit, and an unreadable photo returns the credit. Users can buy a one-time pack of scans or subscribe for a weekly allowance of 15 or 30 scans, with unused credits carrying over.
